Drinking on the Island of Mer'Kresh

The Island of Mer'Kresh hosts few spots to grab a drink or snack, but what it lacks in quantity it put a lot of work into quality.

Deeper's Tavern

1 Wavefoam Rum Punch - 10 lirums: Good start, poor aftertaste.
2 Binnacle Blast o' Rum - 25 lirums: It's a shame to do that to what was probably a decent rum.
3 Monsoon Magic Rum - 35 lirums: What was that he just put in there? I don't want to know...
4 Tropical Rum Surprise - 40 lirums: Don't ask what the surprise is, just gulp it on down.

Saja's Boarding House

Devoted to serving students and artists, Saja specializes in robust meals on not-so-robust budgets.

The Herb Play Restaurant

Located within the Lantern Inn, this restaurant bills itself as, "The Epitome of Artistry in Food." One of the few eateries in Elanthia that makes use of a seating host, the Herb Play's best feature is its fantastic atmosphere, particularly the interesting items of note in each of the 4 eating areas (the padded booth easily being the best). Now, if only the very creatively desginged seats were real...

Appetizers:
(1) The Herb Play's Renown vegetable medley - 65 L: * A delicate blend of herbs, carrots, snow peas and tomato -- A long time favorite!
(2) Salted Crab Legs - 80 L: * Caught off the southern coast of M'Riss and served in our own seasoned butter sauce.
(3) Seaweed-Wrapped Riceballs - 40 L: * Lightly salted and wrapped in the freshest greenery found in Eluned's realm!
(4) Mushroom-Stuffed Bellpeppers - 80 L: * We stuff them so fat, we almost put the listing in our entree section!
Entrees:
(5) Seasoned Sea Bass - 110 L: * No less than twelve herbs! Exquisite!
(6) Lemon-Pepper Pheasant - 200 L: * Fresh bounty from the low hills of the Undogoz Mountain chain!
(7) Fresh Veal - 300 L: * From the Herb Play's private farm on M'Riss and the thickest slices in town!

Warrior Mage Guildhall

In the northwestern corner of the hall is a very small library with more refreshments than books.

All of these items are free.
On the table you will find:
a snifter of tawny-amber Rissan brandy: Perhaps the finest Brandy I have ever tasted.
some steamed seaweed-wrapped salmon
a wooden bowl filled with seaweed sauteed with ginger and dragon peppers
a heaping stack of deep fried spiny sea-urchins dusted with powdered sugar
a bowl of fizzing fruit punch: Sweet fun for the kiddies, perhaps a bit too much sugar for the more mature palate
a kettle of honey-lemon tea

Barbarian's Guildhall

Located in the Globe Arena, just upstairs you'll find a "Roaring Room." While thickly padded for roar practicing, this room is also thoughtfully decorated with a dartboard and a table of refreshments.

All of these items are free.
On the table you will find:
a pitcher of iced strawberry lemonade: Well, at least it's got strawberries going for it
a crystal punch bowl of glowing Elothean windhaze: A staple of Elothean culture that leaves dwarves in perpetual envy
a large wooden vat of marinated peccary snouts
a platter of hard-boiled eggs
a fire-scarred lunat cask of potent Vykathi ale: So strong it stretches the definition of ale
a snifter of tawny-amber Rissan brandy: Produced by the same vinter's as that in the Warrior Mage guildhall, with all their excellence.

Caress-of-the-Moons Manor

Just a spot for a free, quick nibble and a bit of stargazing. In the hall to the south of the entrance, there is a table, and on the table you'll find a creme-topped moon cake and a crescent-moon cookie.

Mer'Kresh Library

The Library's lounge features a bar with some free refreshments for the scholars.

All of these items are free.
On the marble-topped bar you see:
a crystal pitcher filled with iced-water tanged with lemon slices: (a glass of chilled lemon water) Well, if it's really hot... or maybe to clean with
a silver urn filled with rich mocha coffee frothed with steamed milk: (a cup of mocha coffee) Thick with chocolatly goodness and plenty of caffeine for those late night cram sessions.
