Elanthia's first campfire song, Wyrdscope's evil classic absolutely must be sung by a group (italicized portions are chorus). This song is one that people love to hate, it's that kind of fun.
I performed this song near the conclusion of the "Old Bards' Night" concert. As much as some folks shrieked about my bringing it back to life, they all joined the chorus gleefully.
"Oodinay oodinay oodelee oodelee ooo
Oodinay oodinay I--Love--You"
"The next thing this Kobold did was sneak into my arms
She worked her little magic and she worked her little charms
She danced all around me and as she danced she sang
Her words flowed freely and this is how they came:"
"Oodinay oodinay oodelee oodelee ooo
Oodinay oodinay I--Love--You"
"Then my little darling, then my little pride
Hugged me very closely and pulled me to her side
She said she'd never leave me and when I asked her why
She shouted out those words again and this was her cry:"
"Oodinay oodinay oodelee oodelee ooo
Oodinay oodinay I--Love--You"
"My silly little Kobold, when spring was finally gone
Left me in the forest, ending her song
But when again the snows melted and new grasses grew
I heard a little Kobold, and then I sang it too!"
"Oodinay oodinay oodelee oodelee ooo
Oodinay oodinay I--Love--You"
